The mission of the CareCo Foundation is to support the wellness, safety, and self-sufficiency of individuals with health, independence, and mobility challenges related to aging or injury.
The CareCo Foundation supports individuals who face health, independence, and mobility challenges that relate to injury or aging. To that end, the Foundation:
Accepts charitable donations that it can repurpose (in the case of physical items) or redirect (in the case of financial gifts) in a manner consistent with the Foundation’s mission;
Offers a range of programs to support the health, safety, and well being of injured or aging individuals, including fall-prevention, food-accessibility, and senior care programs.
Works to develop strategic partnerships with other community organizations that help promote the Foundation’s philosophy and goals;
Hosts or participates in fund raising activities;
Actively seeks grant funding to support current programs and develop new programs consistent with the Foundation’s mission.
The CareCo Foundation exists exclusively for charitable purposes and is funded by private gifts from individuals and organizations. The Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and as such is governed by a board of directors who support the Foundation's mission.
PROGRAMS AND SERVICES
The CareCo Foundation is committed to the delivery of programs and services that align to our overall mission. While the Foundation will consider any program that fits that criterion, we currently focus on three areas of service: fall prevention, food accessibility, and senior care.
The CareCo Foundation is committed to serving the aging population in Connecticut, which the Foundation considers to be one of the most underserved segments of the population within the state.
